I am trying to create my own poster for conferences.. little that I know, the posters are not as I've imagined before.. I thought posters means pictures.. just pictures and a little bit of words, here and there...
but NO!!!
try and google it.. and you will see what i meant.. hey.. i'm still in the learning phase.. and.. while trying to learn on how best to create or design a poster, I found some interesting links, which helps to describe it further..

Really useful blog! Just wondering how you chose the uni/dept to study in, and which SV to work with?
I am also interested how u find a supervisor. Do u also find difficulties getting a sponsor 2? Pls inform?

anyways, to both of you...
finding a uni depends on what you are interested in doing.. meanings.. your research...
once you have found a uni that does the same research interest.. then, you start approaching anyone in that department, that could be a potential supervisor to you...
approach your potential supervisor, by writing email to them, and attaching your proposed research topic too.
The same proposed research topic is also used for applying sponsorship or scholarship.
Well, the proposal depends on requirements from the sponsoring body.. you have to check on that..
to summarize it all, you just have to apply as much as you can.. and approach potential supervisor as many as you can.. so that you will have a number of choices, and then choose the best!
I can't say whether it is easy or hard, its different with everybody.. but do try your best.. and never never give up!
